Customs Rules & regulation for moving to Afghanistan

Duty free entry available to those who are
guaranteed by the Afghan Ministry of
Foreign Affairs and for official diplomats.
Do not ship without release from your
agent.
Household goods shipments containing large
quantities of the same item of any kind are
considered as commercial goods. In such
cases, different rules will apply.
It is recommended that you check with your
agent in Afghanistan, before shipping goods, to
avoid any customs fines associated with
commercial shipping.
Shipment can be cleared prior to shipper
arrival.

All shipments may be dutiable. Do not ship without release from green
light from agent

Certificate of Origin or Title
VIN number required on AWB/OBL
Free for diplomats or for those guaranteed by
the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, otherwise,
Customs duties will be imposed.
Number of cylinders and how many seats in
each vehicle. Vehicles may NOT be exported as
private moves. Only vehicles associated with a
relief organization may be exported.
Private parties may import vehicles without
issues.
