Comets asteroids meteorids
1. ASTEROIDS,COMETS AND METEORIDS.
All of this objects are some form of space rock and most
of the time they are harmless, but can be dangerous.
2. 1. ASTEROIDS
Asteroids are the small rocky objects in the Solar System.
The largest asteroid is Ceres, which is 933 kilometers across. The
smallest asteroid that we’ve observed in detail are only tens of
meters in size but there are probably a great number of small
rocks in space that are currently too small for us to detect.
3. 2. COMETS
A comet is an icy small Solar System body that, when passing
close to the Sun, heats up and begins to outgas, displaying a
visible atmosphere or coma , and sometimes also a tail.
COMET HALLEY
Halley s comet returns to the inner Solar System have been
observed and recorded by astronomers since at least 240 BC.
Halley ‘s comet will next appear in mid-2061.
4. 3. METEORIDS
A meteorid is a solid piece of debris, from such sources as
asteroids or comets, that originates in outer space and survives
its impact with the Earth’s surface. A meteorite’s size can range
from very small to extremely large.
65 million years ago a meteorid impact leads to the death of 75
percent of the animals on Earth, including the dinosaurs. More
than 50,000 meteorites have been found on Earth. Of these,
99.8 percent are thought to come from asteroids.

6. CONCLUSIONS
• The meteorids are, most of the time,
harmless , but can be dangerous.
• The comets are incredible and beautiful.
• The asteroids are very different of meteorids
and comets.
