2. • Expanded Programme on Immunisation (EPI) aims to
vaccinate children aged 0-15 months against, Ten
Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPDs) .
• It was developed in 1974 and launched to Pakistan in
1978.
• Before EPI, vaccination coverage was 5% worldwide and
now it has increased to 79%.
