Ancient Greece is a few thousand years older than Ancient Babylonia, but they still seemed to have the same upbringing. They seemed to have more likeness than differences. This reminds people of a modern older brother, younger sister, or vice versa, relationship. At that time both cultures were polytheistic and both had advances in writing epics and myths, but the type of ruling was a little different.
Both Ancient Greece and Ancient Babylonia were polytheistic during their times. The gods were different, but it was the same concept. For the Greeks, all of the Gods and Goddesses were related in a sort of way. Babylonians seemed to not have the Gods inter-related. Both cultures had the Gods and Goddesses connected to the world by explaining natural happening by them being controlled by higher beings.
Both cultures seemed to have been advance in literature. Ancient Greece did many kinds of literature, including poetry, play writes, and epics & myths. Ancient Babylonia did not seem to have been so advanced as the Greeks, but did have poetry and epics & myths. For both, the epics & myths had to do with people conquering heroic feats. Also, both cultures had myths about their Gods and Goddesses.
It is as though the two very similar cultures would have the same ruling methods, but that’s usually not the case. This is true between Ancient Greece and Ancient Babylonia. Ancient Greece seemed more focused on the actual conquering of the lands. Alexander the Great is a brilliant example of this. Ancient Babylonia however seemed more focused on the revenge part of warfare and land.
Though siblings don’t always get along, they share the same common knowledge. They both know how to function properly and share some common interests. This is how Ancient Greece and Ancient Babylonia seem to act. There are many ways that someone may compare these two cultures. These two cultures don’t seem to use the same methods of ruling, but they were both polytheistic and in some ways, had the same styles of writing.
References:
quot;
