This document outlines the theoretical framework for a research study with unemployment as the dependent variable. The independent variables are terrorism, illiteracy, and unequal distribution of jobs. Political influence is identified as the mediator variable. Direct relationships are hypothesized between unemployment and terrorism, unemployment and illiteracy, and unemployment and unequal distribution of jobs. Political influence is proposed to mediate the relationships between the independent and dependent variables.
