Subject+had+Past participle
Regular verbs:
I/you/he/she/it/we/they had played hockey.
Irregular Verbs:
I/you/he/she/it/we/they had gone home.
3. Negative statement
To make a negative past perfect statement, simply follow the
following pattern:
Subject+had+not+Past participle
Regular verb:
•I/you/he/she/it/we/they had not played hockey.
Irregular Verb:
•I/you/he/she/it/we/they had not gone home.
4. Question
To make a question in the past perfect, simply follow the following
pattern:
Had+subject+Past participle
Regular verb:
•Had I/you/he/she/it/we/they played hockey?
