Mindfulness for Busy People
1. Are you one of those busy people who
are rushed off your feet, scrambling
around, constantly on the go, never
feeling like everything is done, that
there is never enough time in the day,
feeling tired, exhausted, stressed out
and fed up most of the time.
If so, I guess you know what its like when
any moment of relaxation seems never
to last quite long enough before the next
wave of worries or things to do, creep
up on you blasting a way any feeling of
calmness.
Some caring colleagues or family
members tell you to just slow down and
relax, to take some deep breaths and try
to do less ( if only you had the time and it
was that easy). You’ve heard it all before
or read it in some American self help
book, telling us to just think positively,
switch off, time manage better, and
delegate more. Well if you are like me,
you’ve tried all these things and probably
also found that they don’t work.
You may be asking- why is it so difficult
to work out a way to be less stressed in
a busy world. How can you get out of
the constant doing mode into the human
being mode. The answer is mindfulness.
“Through the transformative power
of mindfulness you will be able to find
some peace and calm and a greater
sense of well-being”
Are you constantly
chasing your tail ?

The course-Mindfulness for Busy People is specifically put together for those
with hectic lives, the exercises and content designed for those constantly ‘on the go’.
As a therapist I talk about some of the more common problems that busy people come
to see me about- such as burnout, tiredness, stress, physical aches and pains, anxiety
and depression. All too common problems all busy people have. I demonstrate how
Mindfulness can help you just as it has helped many of my clients.
Having been involved in the corporate world for 30 years as an MD, I am aware of the
pressures. I have used this background to put together a meaningful and practical
course, helping clients to de-stress, find their own unique space of calm and prepare
them for whatever life throws at them (good or bad).

For your interest this is what the late Steve Jobs said
about mindfulness
“If you just sit and observe, you will see how restless your
mind is”, Jobs told his biographer Walter Isaacson. “If
you try to calm it, it only makes it worse, but over time it
does calm, and when it does , there’s room to hear more
subtle things – that’s when your intuition starts to blossom
and you start to see things more clearly and be in the
present more. Your mind just slows down, and you see a
tremendous expanse in the moment. You see much more
than you could see before. It’s a discipline, you have to
practise it.”
