The nutrition of teens has declined in recent years for many
reasons. A lot of the reasons are the increase in portion sizes at
restaurants and the many ads for unhealthy food that teens
view on tv and the internet during the day.

There are numerous reasons for teens not getting enough
exercise. The main reason behind this is the advent of video
games, the internet and the greater availability of television.
Teens spend an enormous amount of time using technology
instead of playing sports or going places with their friends.
5. How can teens improve nutrition?
There are many ways in which teens can improve their
nutrition. One of the biggest ways is to control portion size.
Many restuarants and fast food places (McDonalds) have
increased their portion size dramatically since they were
originally created. Instead of ordering the biggest size, order a
medium or even a small. When you go to a restuarant don't
stuff yourself, box half your meal and eat it later.
6. How can teens improve nutrition

Not only have portion sizes greatly increased, the amount of
unhealthy foods teens take in have greatly increased as well. To
improve nutrition teens could cut out many unhealthy foods or
just decrease the amount they eat. They could also make sure
they are getting enough of each food group (vegtables, fruits,
meats, etc).
7. How to increase physical activity?
There are many ways to increase physical activity. The most
obvious ways are to participate in sports and other activities
involving moving (dance, yoga). Instead of video games and the
computer playing sports will greatly increase the physical
activity of teenagers.
