3. 1. INTRODUCTION
Financial management refers to the efficient and effective
management of money (funds) in such a manner as to
accomplish the objectives of the organization. It is the
specialized function directly associated with the top
management. The significance of this function is not only seen in
the 'Line' but also in the capacity of 'Staff' in overall
administration of a company. It has been defined differently by
different experts in the field.
Financial Management is the Operational Activity of a business
that is responsible for obtaining and effectively utilizing the
funds necessary for efficient operation
1. Company profile
Global IME Bank Ltd. emerged after successful merger of
Global Bank Ltd (an “A” class commercial bank), IME
Financial Institution (a “C” class finance company) and Lord
Buddha Finance Ltd. (a “C” class finance company) in year
2012. Two more Development Banks (Social Development
Bank and GulmiBikas Bank) merged with Global IME Bank
Lrd in year 2013.
4. Global Bank Limited (GBL) was established in 2007 as an ‘A’
class commercial bank in Nepal which provides entire
commercial banking services. The bank was established
with the largest capital base at the time with a paid up capital
of NPR 1.0 billion. The paid up capital of the bank has since
been increased to NPR 2.42 billion. The bank's shares are
publicly traded as an 'A' category company in the Nepal
Stock Exchange.

11. Authorized Capital of Global IME Bank is NPR 5,000 million
and Paid up Capital is NPR 4,106 million. The promoters
hold 70.60% while 29.40% is floated for the public. Current
shareholder structure of the bank remains as below:

11. Learning Experiences
• I got adequate knowledge about Globel IME Bank and
its operations.
• There is lot of opportunity to study regarding
organization’s frame work and also day to day
operation.

bank, that made easy accessibility of overall operation
process of the organization.
• According banking function the overall operation
divided as like deposits, withdrawal, and lendig.etc,
.Each operation will be looking after by respective
employee.
12. CONCLUSION
For the day to day operations, the bank has been using the
world renowned FINACLE software that provides real time
access to customer database across all branches and
corporate locations of the bank. This state of the art
customer database has also been linked to a Management
Information System that provides easy reach to all possible
database information for balanced and informed decision
making.
Banking activities are considered to be the life blood of the
national Economy. Without banking services, trading and
business activities cannot be carried on smoothly. Banks
are the distributors and protectors of liquid capital which is
of vital significance to a developing country.
13. Efficient administration of the banking system helps in the
economic Growth of the nation. Banking is useful to trade
and commerce.
