Gentoo penguins have a white patch above their eye and red beak, feed on fish and squid, and live in colonies on the Antarctic Peninsula and sub-Antarctic islands. There are approximately 300,000 breeding pairs of curious and happy gentoo penguins that build nests from pebbles and sticks and have predators like leopard seals and orcas, living up to 8 years on average.
