Usually made of laminated
wood or mixture of fiberglass
and wood. These flex to help
give the bow its power.
String- can be made of linen,
hemp, sinew, silk, or rawhide.
Also gives the bow power.
Nocking point- helps guide
where to put the arrow when
shooting.

Compound Bow
Riser, Limbs, Arrow rest, and
string all preform the same
actions as a recurve. But are
either made of carbon fiber or
metal. The string is made of
cable.
The cam(wheel) is what gives
the bow its power and has a
let off which makes it easier
to hold the string back

Always look for safe place to shoot
Wear proper attire

Hold bow at side
Bring bow up to where arm is level
Draw string to chest
Bring fingers to chin
Release string and hold
13. How to remove arrows
Wait until range is clear
Walk on side of target
Put one hand on target
Place other on shaft of arrow and pull straight out
Place arrows together, pick up, and walk slowly
