All about DiSC Training
Disc training is a tool that is used to access the personality of any individual. It has become very
popular in the corporate sector in improving the communication, productivity as well as team
work. With the help of Disc profiles, one can understand people in a better way and accordingly
handle them.
Disc tests explore the four dimensions of a person’s behavior and then categorize them into
various types. Dominance, Influence, Steadiness and Conscientiousness are the four
dimensions that are being explored in the Disc profile. These four traits make the DiSC
acronym. These are available in the Disc certification which can be procured after undergoing
the disc training.

Decoding the Disc profile, if a candidate lacks in Dominant category then he is said to be direct
and resolute. He is proactive and decisive, endeavoring to get the results instantaneously. While
people scoring high in Influence category are those who like to work in a team and believe in
idea-sharing. Those with Steadiness as their leading trait are co-operative and compassionate.
They are always ready to help others. They have a consistent and a predictable approach. The
ones with Conscientious trait are scrupulous planners. They take every step with caution and
calculate their every move. They appreciate good quality and a streamlined system.

It is always said that a team of members with varied personality can become an effective team.
As the Disc profile categorizes the employees on the basis of their personality, managers can
easily build an eclectic team. By making the members aware of the profiles, conflicts between
team members can be kept to a minimum level.

Apart from the teamwork, the disc management can also be utilized in the process of
recruitment. The profile clearly reflects the strengths and weaknesses of a candidate which can
