island located eastern most of Asia.
• Japan consist of 3,000 islands. The largest islands
are Honshu,Hokkaido, Kyushu and Shikoku.
•Tokyo is d capital of japan
•70% of Japan is mountain area.
•The highest mountain in Japan is Mt. Fuji which
rises to about 3,000 meters high.
•The official language in japan is japanese
•Japan’s national flag is
called the Hinomaru.
•It became the national
flag in the late nineteenth
century.
•The flag depicts the sun
•Japan has the tenth highest population in
the world.
•Japan has about 127,000,000 people.
•Tokyo has about 12,000,000 people.

The Japanese people use
a type of money called
yen.
•Japanese traditional clothing is yukata “for
men” , kimono “for women”
•Kimono and yukta is usually worn on special
occasions like the Shichi-Go-San or weddings
and a lot of other occasions.

main dish is sushi, sushi are

is a polite phrase which means I receive food.
In Japan there are many different buildings and
gardens, that are a big part of its culture. They do
not actually come from Japan, their ideas come
from China.
These rock gardens are
considered an art in Japan they
are still used today. Sometimes it
takes years to find a rocks to
use in these gardens. They are
gently raked into a design and
then the rocks are placed. They
are used for meditation and
relaxation.
Japan is known by its amazing arts that are used till
now, painting, games and martial arts are the most
remarkable arts in Japan.

Festivals in Japan are occasions to celebrate with families
and to wear traditional styles of clothing. They are an
important part of life in Japan and can be enjoyed in cities

•Avoid using large hand gestures, unusual facial expressions and any dramatic
movements. The Japanese do not talk with their hands and to do so could
distract your host.
•The "OK" sign; in Japan it means money. Avoid using it
