How to Stop Fears and Focus
on the Good Things in Life
Fear can be debilitating. It can keep us from doing things we
want to do, and from being our best selves. In this post, we'll
explore some tips on how to stop fears from ruling our lives,
and focus on the good things.
When you're feeling fear, it's important to remember that it's
just an emotion. It doesn't have to dictate your life. In fact, you
have the power to choose how you react to fear. You can let it
paralyze you, or you can use it as motivation to move forward.
Here are some tips on how to focus on the good things in life,
and let go of fear:
1. Make a list of the good things in your life. This can be
anything from your family and friends, to your job,
your home, or your health.

1. Introduction
Imagine what it would be like to overcome fear? Think about
Apple founder Steve Jobs, or Google founders Larry and
Sergey. Incredible people who rose above their inhibitions and
created a company that changed the world.
The general consensus is that success is often defined by the
person s high level of self-motivation.
Fear is like a small voice. It's easy to feel self-doubt and
anxiety about what other people may think of your decisions. I
truly believe that the longer you put off a goal, the more it
decreases in your mind.
If we have to think about 'why' we want to change or better
ourselves, it makes it harder.
However, if we can just sit back and know that we just want to
grab the Universe by the shoulders and shake it down and
make it ours, it feels pretty good.
All loss is recovery in another form - all break-ups carry the
seed for a new ex-lover; all heart hurts lead to the best in love.
Yes, success is about "motivation", "throwing yourself out
there," "tuning out the naysayers," and "going for it," but I
believe it also has a lot to do with acceptance.
Being successful is when you find the strength to face
whatever it is that you want to overcome.
2. Think Positively
Set the tone for your day. Remember that thoughts are things.
Deliberately think about things that are positive, like your
family and friends, or sets of action you can take in your day.
3. Whenever you find yourself feeling fear, take your focus off
of it.
Do what makes you happy and makes you feel fortunate.

excited about something, go for it. Don't wait. If you're feeling

3. Stop Ruminating
[Ruminating]
Rumination, which is the re-run thinking of negatively
charged uncomfortable thoughts, body struggling and
struggling, is parasitic on itself.
Rumination can be used to distract us from what we desire,
can be a self-imposed obstacle to gaining what we want, and
can cause our body to picture itself as a prison or cage.
Thoughts in turn paralyze us at times, as if we shy away from
activity and success because we believe failure and shame is
already here, on the horizon, or comes with ominous
warnings; we are back at the starting line of our lives when we
were young and try as we might cannot progress; whose
disease perpetuates the disease its founder.
Rumination can prevent us from reaching our goals because
we hold back from taking any action until it stops ruminating
and at times it can stop rumination simply by forcing us
beyond our comfort zone.
[Reappraisal]
Reappraisal is an incredibly helpful tactic for breaking a
ruminating session or bout. We are able to re-invent the bad
habit and identify a healthier action.
It may be as simple as identifying the underlying force behind
your rumination and realizing that it is not your life's
downfall, but simply what you are going through at that
moment.
When you beginning to ruminate, stop. Avoid thinking about
your trouble till it stops, analyze this situation using emotion
instead of logic.
4. Use Self-Esteem to Overcome Fear
Fear and self-doubt can take over our lives when we find
ourselves in situations in which the world judges us unfairly or
harshly.
It's healthy to feel a sense of fear, and even to feel a little
anxious before dark descents or unfamiliar scenarios.
But when fear overpowers and obliterates our entire life, we're
experiencing I hope this series "Ways to Overcome Anxiety"
has answered this question better than the rest.
Remind yourself that you deserve wonderful things, both the
ride and the food variety. Best self would be good.
5. Use the Law of Attraction
Thinking about something, even if it is only one thought, can
be enough to enhance its probability of coming true.
Using the law of attraction for good means consistent thinking
about what you want. If you want to make $50K, you will be
constantly looking at things that cost $50K or more (clothes,
cars, houses and so on).
When it comes to job interviews, however, you can't focus on
that for months or years.
Rather, you can set goals for yourself: to get in on at least 10
in a week, or 20 in a month. If you set a too-big of a goal, that
can be limiting and depressing.
You will likely set a goal that's larger than you feel capable of
achieving, and then won't turn your focus towards the things
that are doable.
My advice? When you're in the back of your mind, creating
little goals every day, those will seem like overwhelming
goals. No one's impossible, no matter how big your dreams or
goals are.
Be your own judge, of what's achievable.

often be paralyzing and overwhelming. In this article, we'll

improve your life.
