Established in 1986, the Council on Competitiveness is comprised
of corporate executives, leaders in academia, and national
laboratory directors, who aim to improve public policy and
maintain the United States’ competitiveness in the world market.
The Council works toward minimizing public spending, while
making education more affordable to Americans. In addition, it
focuses on reducing the nation’s unemployment rate and creating
sustainable solutions in the energy sector.
