Rachel is in an abusive relationship with her partner Tom and feels she cannot leave him. The film focuses on Rachel's emotional attachment and feelings of abandonment that keep her from leaving the abusive relationship. It will depict Rachel returning home from shopping and recounting her feelings while looking at scars from past abuse, which will trigger flashback sequences. The scene is set in a household location at Castlefield House, where Rachel will be portrayed with bruises and wearing different clothing to depict flashbacks from the current timeline.

2. Logline
Rachel is in an abusive relationship. However, she can’t leave because of her
emotional attachment to her partner. The film plays mostly on attachment and
abandonment within a already ruined relationship and focuses on why the lead
character stays with her partner.

3. Context
The character walks through the door with bags of shopping, to show everyday life.
They then start walking upstairs with a monologue of what she’s feeling and
thinking. She then looks at her scar which starts a montage sequence of flashbacks
and credits, it then goes back to the female character and ends on her looking in a
mirror, looking haggard and beaten and then cuts to black.

The scene would take place in a household.

Rachel - She feels, she can’t leave her partner
because he has made her feel she wouldn’t be
able to live her life alone. (this could cut to a
back story within the rest of the film of
abandonment issues.)
Tom - He knows that his partner has issues and
abuses this fact by taking advantage of her when
she is at her most vulnerable.
