The South Bay Cities Council of Governments (SBCCOG) is a joint powers authority of 16 cities and unincorporated areas in the South Bay region of Los Angeles County. It aims to promote cooperation between municipalities on issues of mutual interest and support proposals that further its objectives. The SBCCOG also provides a forum for communication and representation with other governing bodies. It oversees projects related to transportation, liaison with regional agencies, legislative advocacy, and networking. The South Bay Environmental Services Center (SBESC) is a program of the SBCCOG that provides information and assistance on energy, water, and environmental programs to residents, businesses, and agencies in the South Bay.
