*As a teen, columbus got a job on a
merchant ship. His first voyage was to the
atlantic ocean in 1476 and he was attacked by
the french and got his ship burned down.So he
swam to portguese shore and there he got
married to Felipa Perestrello. They had a son in
1480 and his name was Diego but his wife died
when he moved to spain.
4. why did he explore?
*He explored because he wanted to find a
direct water route west from Europe to Asia.
*He also wanted to be able to take his colony
and settle in a better place for a better living

world
*Columbus inspired me to be an explore one
day.
*Lots of explores wanted to find new places
because of him.
*Also he was the first to settle and stay in the
new land. His colony settled for a better life.
