Use these formulas: Line of symmetry: x = -b/(2a) Vertex: the x is -b/(2a) and y is f(-b/(2a)) then write this as an ordered pair (x,y) To get a table of values just pick some values of x like -2, -1, 0, 1, 2 and replace x in the equation with these values one at a time to find the y values. Hint: Earlier I wrote f(-b/(2a)). This notation confuses most people. It means to calculate -b/(2a) and get a number then replace x in the equation with this number and use the order of operations to evaluate. You will end up with a number. The graph will look like a U shape called a parabola.
