  • 4. Value driver 1: frame the problem PRE-sprint:  Define the business need  Identify the customers/users  Map the user journey
  • 5. Value driver 2: set the challenge The challenge statement:  Sets a clear mission  Defines expectations  Has a date For example, ‘To enable air flight commuters to share parked cars with an app, to launch first quarter 2020’.
  • 6. Value driver 3: engage stakeholders Key roles:  Decider  Finance expert  Customer expert  Tech lead  UX designer

  • 8. Value driver 5: respect the process While teams work on exercises, the Design Sprint process is working behind their backs. Let it work. The #1 most important part of the facilitator’s job is to ensure that teams respect the process.
  • 9. Value driver 6: tell the story The facilitator’s job is not just to manage the workflow. You are narrating an adventure. Keep it focused, pull everything together, and never forget the mission.
