I chose Adelaide as a study
destination because it is safer and
cheaper than many of the other
cities. It also has everything you
need close by.
My research journey with UniSA
has been a challenging but very
rewarding path.

The University of
South Australia
Business School is
EQUIS accredited.
Awarded a Five star
MBA rating for Five
consecutive years.
I achieved a First Class Honours
degree last year with a thesis on
Brand Rejection. After that I wrote
a conference paper and had a
fantastic opportunity to present
at the Australia & New Zealand
Marketing conference in Perth.
It was also a great opportunity
to network and exchange my
research ideas with other marketing
academics. I also published a
corporate report on Brand Rejection.
The report was sent to more than
50 corporate sponsors of the
Ehrenberg-Bass Institute from all
over the world. In my current Master
research, I examine the topic of
‘buyer behaviour and how brands
grow in Emerging Markets’. This
is a topic that global marketers
are thirsty for information and
discoveries.
My achievements are not possible
without the support I get from
UniSA academic staff. I am
confident that with all the skills I
have learned, I am ready to follow
either a research career or join the
Marketing industry when I finish.

In my final year I received a vacation
scholarship to help researchers at
the university with a marketing
research project. This was a valuable
experience to put on my resume
and it was great because I got
paid to work. I then completed
my marketing practicum at a local
car dealership and I found this
experience very challenging and
rewarding. As I enjoyed the research
element of the program so much,
I applied for Honours. My good
grades led me to receive a fully paid
scholarship to complete my honours
year.
While I was studying I was also
given the opportunity to help out
with the marketing subjects as a
tutor. This was because of my good
grades. I also secured a part-time
job as a Stock Manager. With both
incomes I was able to pay for most
of my study expenses.
Adelaide is a peaceful place and
there are lots of outdoor activities
to keep you busy such as camping,
surfing, hiking and seeing the
wildlife.
