A 53-year-old woman presented with chest pain from a recent myocardial infarction. During a coronary angiography, her stent became damaged during unsuccessful deployment. Multiple attempts to retrieve the damaged stent directly or by pulling it with a balloon failed. While waiting for a surgeon, the physician was able to grab and extract the damaged stent using tweezers through the left radial artery approach. The radial approach allowed for extraction of the damaged stent without further circulation problems.
