4. First steps in Music
Shawn Mendes began singing at school, participating in
contests and festivals. His friends were the ones who
encouraged him to sing more and more. He always liked
to watch videos of covers on youtube and started
recording Vines. With his videos , he was discovered by
Bart Bardelon, the founder of Magcon (Meet & Greet
Convention). Bart invited Shawn to join the event and
act on stages in various cities.

5. 2014, a decisive year
Andrew Gertler, an artist agent, discovered Shawn in
January 2014 and took him to New York to record his
own music. His first single was " Life Of The Party“,
launched on 30 June 2014. His second single was
"Something Big" and was launched on 11 November
2014. He recently released the song " Never Be Alone".

His great musical influence is the British singer Ed
Sheeran and his dream is, one day, to come to share
the stage with Ed Sheeran .
