Climate Data (to evaluate thermal load, etc.)
Row climate data by JMA, CC by 4.0
(http://www.jma.go.jp/jma/kishou/info/coment.html)
1327 (about 900 points work now) points in Japan.
Almost municipality have their points. The farthest
point is Suttu for Shimamaki village (about 16km)
in Hokkaido
Standard weather data
Winter / Summer design day data is free
Annual hourly data is not free (expensive).
Because the data needs statistical treatment.

Sapporo city has S-net system. The system has 57
points around Sapporo city.
But the data is really expensive.
Then NO ONE USE IT.
Sapporo city use TAX to make those point.
I’M NOT SURE WHY THEY PURCHASE MONEY?

Vacant house problem is serious in Japan.
We study how to renovate and how to demolish
those house

Statistics Japan
Of-course, Statistics Japan provides important OD
Housing and Land survey provides the information
kinds of residence in a area (structure, building
area etc.)
people who live in each buildings (income,
number of family, etc.)
We calculate Fuel Poverty by using those data.
Fuel Poverty means low income households who cannot afford to keep
adequately warm at a reasonable cost, given their income. (wikipedia)
Quality of residence for low income household is low. It needs more heating
energy than normal residence, but they don’t have enough money. Then IAQ
is serious, the situation cause health problem to children and elderly people. It
needs money to go to hospital. Then they lose money. Bad spiral.

In UK, the definition of FP is household with
Energy cost / Income > 10%

Toward the OD society
We have made many database for buildings such as
building energy consumption, housing history, etc.
But the owner has the full right with their database
(under confidential agreement, etc.).
Then, we can not analyze those data.
The FIRST STEP is really important. WE have to
include the concept of OD when we make the
dataset. Especially the gov. arrange those
database.
If not, just a collection (No one use it or JUST Some
special person use it. )
