This document summarizes a study that analyzed whether deaf adults who received cochlear implants had a higher incidence of vestibular abnormalities compared to deaf adults without cochlear implants. The study included 8 adults in each group and used tests like the head impulse test, head shaking nystagmus test, and vestibular evoked myogenic potential to assess vestibular function. The results of these tests on each individual were analyzed to determine if there were differences in vestibular abnormalities between the group with cochlear implants and the group without.
