SWING PDF Converter is a software tool used to export Lotus Notes emails and documents into PDF files for archiving, sharing and web printing.

1. How-To: Export Notes metadata
Step 1. In the SWING PDF Converter database click PDF Settings in the
administration menu and hit New PDF Setting.

2. How-To: Export Notes metadata
Step 2. Enter the name of the PDF setting name and a short description of the setting.
Then set the Export Notes fields to PDF properties field to Yes and hit Save & Close.

The new setting is now available in the list of all PDF Settings.

Step 3. When you start a new conversion job now, you’ll find the newly created PDF settings
in the Conversion settings menu and you can apply them to your conversion job.

Step 4. To view the PDF metadata, open the PDF in Adobe reader, click the File->Properties menu
and open the Custom tab. The metadata is shown as Field name-Value pairs.

The metadata can also be retrieved from the PDF files
programmatically with just a few lines of code.

7. What we have done:
 We created a new PDF conversion profile and
enabled the Metadata export option.
 We applied the created conversion profile to a new
conversion job, and viewed the exported metadata in
the created PDF file.
 We saw a simple code used to retrieve the PDF
metadata programmatically if needed.
