This document describes challenges with the existing R8 and R9.1 setup participants applets and UI for assigning team members to roles. It then summarizes an alternative R8 nested tabs client that allows selecting participants from predefined sets for each role, with built-in validation of assignments. This portable solution enforces maximum participant counts per role and is inline with the R9.1 out-of-the-box UI.
