American History X, directed by Tony Kaye, and Romper Stomper, directed by Geoffrey Wright, share similar themes, of racism/ extremism, violence
and the influence of idols/ gangs on the impressionable. In both films, the outsiders (Mexicans and Asian immigrants) are terrorised and beaten by
Neo–Nazi Skinhead gangs in America (Los Angeles) and Australia (Melbourne). Both texts are also set in a similar timeframe, this being the 80's/ 90's,
reflecting the social issues of the era.

The white supremacy groups top three main hate groups are, the Nazis or neo–nazis, Ku Klux Klan or the KKK, and Skinheads. Yet, this final research
paper is about white supremacy and neo–nazism. One of the main topics is about white supremacy because it is a problem in today's society. It takes
place worldwide and is dangerous, many have resisted against White–Power groups. However, in the process of rising against these hate groups, many
people have been assaulted or murdered. Many of the hate groups have thousands to perhaps millions of followers. Firstly, I will answer the questions:

Prejudice, a preconceived opinion that is not based on reason or personal experience. The amount of prejudice differs from person to person, but
no one is free from it. In the film, American History X, Derek is a great example of how prejudice someone can be. Derek agrees with the white
power movement because he feels victimized and threatened by everyone who is not white, but in prison he learns his stereotypes are full of
holes; from the film I learned there is no reason to hate one another based on race or stereotypes. Life is too short to live a life based on hate.
Throughout the film, American History X, Derek feels victimized and threatened as a white American. He blames gangs, blacks, immigrants and
even his mentor Cameron for all of America's problems. For instance, in one of the scenes in the film, both whites and blacks were playing
basketball on the local basketball court. After an argument with one of the blacks, Derek decides whoever wins the game keeps the court and

Everything seemed to be learned from other people and by interacting with different people. Derek's views and behaviors were also learned. Although
he had learned the neo–Nazi point of view from Cameron, it ultimately came from his dad. A scene in the movie showed the Vineyard family having
dinner before their dad had died. Derek was discussing how Dr. Sweeney had him reading a book about a black guy for black literature. His dad
wasn't too happy about it because he didn't think all this equal stuff is that simple and there was too much focus on it. He believed that affirmative
action wasn't necessary and says all of it is "nigger bullshit" and Derek should watch out (Kay, Morrissey, 1998). So, through his close relationship
with his dad, he learned that black lives were not as meaningful as whites and that something had to be done about
