Timor-Leste is a country with an area of 15,000 square kilometers located in Southeast Asia. It has a population of 1 million people, most of whom are Catholic. The capital and largest city is Dili. Timor-Leste was formerly a Portuguese colony and gained independence in 2002 after years of oppression. It uses the US dollar as its currency and has a tropical climate with wet and dry seasons.
