Jackrabbits Ruzanna, Rochelle and Kaleigh live in open desert areas where they can be spotted, eating grasses, leaves, and twigs. They have large ears to regulate body heat, fur that blends in with their habitat, and are fast runners. While predators are a threat, jackrabbits have adapted with large hind legs that help them leap and dig burrows, and remain an endangered species but their populations remain sizable.
