3. LOW VISION
• Low vision can also be caused by inherited diseases, birth
defects, eye injuries, diabetes, glaucoma, cataract and aging.
• Effect on Low vision: Physical development ,Intellectual
Development. Social and emotional development ,Cognitive

4. LOW VISION: LOW VISION GENERALLY REFERS TO SEVERE
VISUAL IMPAIRMENT. IT APPLIES TO ALL INDIVIDUALS WITH SIGHT
WHO CANNOT SEE PRINT AT A NORMAL READING DISTANCE
EVEN WITH GLASSES.
5. MODIFYING THE PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT
• Enlarge the font on all objects, such as cubby names, various centres
names, daily schedule, calendar.
• The bell use for transition, post bright and colourful picture poster on the
wall.
• They can be audio recorded versions of book available in the room .
Provides books in large size, magnifying glass to read the book it helps Jose
to easier to see the small letters.
• Provide Open-ended materials to all children to explore by themselves.
Toys are age appropriate and their level, which is easily Jose can reach it.
6. TEACHING STRATEGIES
• Giving instruction this can be an effective strategy for Jose because it is verbal. Giving
instructions can help Jose to follow the daily routine. I will and other stuff member use this
strategy to let Jose know what doing next. It is helpful to Jose to carry out the new tasks.
• Hand over hand strategy can be effective. It helps stuff to Joe teach the important steps of
everyday task. Visual communication : This strategy can be adapted to meet José's needs.
Children who has low vision often struggle in language development. This can help Jose to
communicate as well as opportunity to use verbal words.
• PECS it stands for picture exchange communication system it also Jose to communicate to
other stuff in the room about something he want.
