This document announces Google's Summer of Code 2008 program which provides funding for students to work on open source software projects. It describes how students can receive $500 for being accepted, $2000 after a midterm evaluation, and $2000 plus $500 at the end if their work is completed. A variety of open source projects are listed that students could contribute to such as Django, Drupal, Eclipse and Ubuntu. The timeline for applying and completing the program is given, and some potential Drupal project ideas are proposed.
