newspaper article called "Odyssey of Homecoming," published in
Canada in 1981, and written by the actual character. It wasn't until two
yearsago when the writer of the article realized the importanceof the

livein and which threatens the peace and stability of all humanity.
Thestory of the U.S. film "Rise of Dawn" is one of politics, romanceand
espionage set against a backdrop of the dramatic differences between
democracy and totalitarianism. It takes place in New York, Atlanta and
Pragueduring the turbulent decades of the postwar era.
Theworld doesn't lack of WWII films, but somehow the postwar
woundshavebeen all but omitted by the Hollywood film industry. Even
though the war was over, Nazism in eastern European countries was
replaced by Stalinism. Both systems promote totalitarianism and utilize
mass violence. The leading organization of Stalinism, the secret police,
spied on, tortured and killed a massive amount of innocent people. This
is an essential part of our history concerning the entire world, for
history tends to repeat itself. One such example is Praguein 1968, and
Kiev today. Despite the differenceof 50 years, the story themes in the
Rise of Dawn film capturedilemma of today'ssociety. The truthfulness
of the story is documented.
