Tan believes in building a platform to bring

room HDBs should have the same
opportunities.

partners marketed and
sold a chemical product
to treat floors to prevent
people from slipping on
them when they were
wet.
9. While they were
successful in their
sales, selling about
$600,000 worth of the
product to
Singapore, Malaysia, T
aiwan, Thailand, and
Indonesia. They
encountered two
problems.
10. First, the chemical
didn’t prevent
slipping and
second, the
chemical was
corrosive and
destroyed the floors
of their customers.
11. In the ensuing
lawsuits, Richard
ended up in massive
debt from refunding all
the money he had
made and repairing the
floors of his
customers.
