ROTARY YOUTH EXCHANGE also considers gap year students who have been searching for best high school study abroad programs. If gap year students are disappointed, thinking that it might be too late for them, then that is not the case.
3. ROTARY YOUTH EXCHANGE sponsors various types of study abroad and
travel abroad programs for young people aged between 15 and 19 years. The
sponsor makes these programs work in collaboration with the host Rotary
Clubs present in more than 100 countries. Under its high school study abroad
programs, the long-term travel program is ROTARY YOUTH EXCHANGE ’s
flagship program for which the experience of students begins the year before
going to study abroad. This is because they go through the application,
selection and preparation process.
While speaking at an academic seminar, the spokesperson of ROTARY
YOUTH EXCHANGE revealed, “As part of our flagship study abroad program,
when the selected students spend their academic year abroad, they live with
as many as three carefully selected and trained host families. Students
undergo their studies at a local high school, as well as focus on becoming
proficient in a new language. This program is an immersion program that helps
students in becoming bicultural and bilingual and forever changing their
perspective of the world.”
4. ROTARY YOUTH EXCHANGE also considers gap year students who have
been searching for best high school study abroad programs. If gap year
students are disappointed, thinking that it might be too late for them, then that
is not the case. The sponsor offers a program that is designed primarily for
the current high school students, but in fact, can accommodate a limited
number of gap year students after graduation from a U.S. or Canadian high
school. The chosen students can put meaning into their gap year travel by
studying abroad with Rotary Youth Exchange.
The spokesperson also informed, “Along with our study abroad programs, we
offer travel abroad or summer abroad programs. These are short-term
summer exchanges that vary in length from several days to several weeks.
Although the chosen individuals generally do not attend school in a host
country, they may be able to tailor the exchange to match their interests or to
include the tours of specific places or regions. The four most common types
of our short-term youth exchanges are homestays, tours, family-to-family, and
international youth camps.”
5. With the foreign exchange programs of ROTARY YOUTH EXCHANGE, the
youth enjoys an adventure of a lifetime. Becoming a foreign exchange student
can give them the opportunity to interact with foreign students, discover
another culture, and truly become a global citizen. They can choose from a
short-term exchange or a long-term exchange for a full academic year. High
school students get the rooms and boards, as well as any school fees. The
short-term exchanges usually last from several days to three months.
