Management Plan Introduction The healthcare sector requires that the stakeholders uphold
the most effective ways of undertaking their duties. In addition, since the population
depends on the services and products offered by the respective hospitals to survive, the
providers must always express high-quality work as they deal with the patients. In the
attempt to uphold the highest level of quality in the provision of the respective services to
the selected groups within the society, the health providers implement some mechanisms
within their settings. The failure of such organizations including and working with such
strategies may lead to unsustainable and deterioration of the health status of the target
groups. As a corrective measure, the healthcare providers must implement the respective
quality management plans which may, in the long run, enable them to handle their daily

many organizations tend to select their target groups based on the kind of problems they
express. For instance, an organization that deals with the children may tend to specialize in
issues such as early childhood development challenges and also stress management among
the young people. Also, the organizations that deal with the general population may
specialize in a variety of areas such as the management of the chronic illnesses, mental

variety of illnesses that all revolve around the women. The hospital as mentioned deals with
the issues efficient the women`s health. It then means that it deals with females within its
environment. Additionally, the healthcare center operates within a hospital environment
where the patients visit the specialists concerning their needs. Obstetrics and gynecology
stand out as the department within the company that deals with the issues surrounding
women`s health, individually, cancer. From the separation of duties, the hospital achieves
the best service delivery to the respective patients which comes from the specialized
personnel who work on the specific areas of strengths (Brigham and Women`s Hospital,
2018). The organization delivers high-quality services to the patients depending on the
level of their disease. As a result, it remains as one of the most recommended hospitals that
yield better results concerning patient treatment and care. The selected healthcare setting
After evaluating the kind of environment and also the basics of the chosen organization, this
section addresses issues such as the patients among others that constitute the entire set.
QUALITY MANAGEMENT PLAN 4 Brigham and Women`s Hospital deals with the issues
surrounding the reproductive among other systems of females. As a result, the hospital
specializes in the provision of such services as cervical, breast and also uterine cancer
screening as well as treatment (Jaklitsch et al., 2012). As a result, it does not discriminate
the patients by age or even race among others. Some of the other services that the hospital
offers include gynecology, infertility and reproductive system surgery, obstetrics,
urogynecology and also but not limited to the provision of maternal-fetal assistance and
medication. With such services, the hospital boasts a large number of members of staff who

the state of the art technologies, the hospital makes it easy and possible to take care of the
women who suffer from the various forms of cancer while at the same time ensuring the
quality of service and life. Scope and nature of the problem Considering the state of the
healthcare sector in general, the respective hospitals among other providers must come up
with ways in which they may improve the quality of life for their selected patients. For

driving force towards the success and also the hindrances that limit it from achieving its set

which help- it to shape its workforce towards the attainment of a common goal. Through
the dedication towards the attainment of quality patient care, conducting progressive
research and also but not limited to respect for life and affairs of the clients, the hospital
manages to maintain a conducive working environment for both the members of staff and
also the patients. In the process, the establishment makes it easy to deliver high-quality
services driven by the core values which constitute the organizational culture. Another
major strength of Brigham and Women`s Hospital comes from the fact that it specializes in
only a single market segment. Hence, this makes it easy for the establishment to deliver

realization of lean operations. Opportunities Since the company operates with a preferred
brand name, it may focus on its further improvement. When the company improves its
brand name, it would not only reach out to more clients but also beat the existing
competition. Secondly, the firm enjoys the state of the art technologies within their various
areas of application. As a result, it may use these elements towards the improvement of the
overall quality of services delivered. One of how the hospital may use the existing
technology would focus on offering customized services to the patients using the personal
devices. Accordingly, this would foster constant follow up to the respective clients
regardless of their location. The organization`s name carries a form of luxury in it. As a
result, it may exploit this opportunity to expand the services that it offers to the respective
patients which would help attract more patients while at the same time delivering the

esteemed clients, it may not achieve the set goals due to the fact that it engages in a variety
of tasks. The rise of a generation of hospitals that deliver specialized treatment to just a

that for the latter to enjoy and reap QUALITY MANAGEMENT PLAN 8 all the benefits that
arise from their respective duties, it must select just a specific issue of concern and then
expound on it. For example, the hospital may opt to deal with cancer-related issues affecting
women only as opposed to including other areas that require additional professionals.
Additionally, competition from the similar other establishments keeps on rising daily which
stands out as a threat to the attainment of the set goals. The other threat comes from the
inside of the organization. The hospital may suffer losses in case its members of staff went
on strike. Consequently, this will lead to creating a healthy working environment. Also,
while organization enjoys an excellent working environment, the management may form
the basis for its failure in the future. Primary weakness highlighted in the SWOT After the
evaluation of the hospital`s working environment, one of the significant drawbacks comes
from the management. The hospital’s leaders do not express high-level knowledge and skills
of controlling the daily operations. With the recent threats of the nurses to go on strike, it
shows that the hospital may fall from the inside. Brigham and Women`s Hospital specializes
in some areas which increase its market recognition. As a result, the hospital attracts many
clients which constitutes a better market. However, with the weak management, the
organization may not efficiently manage the various crucial elements which may lead to its
fall. The realization of the weakness comes from the findings after conducting interviews
with all levels of staff members, specifically, the nursing teams. Conclusion In the realization
of the best services by Brigham and Women` Hospital, it must first evaluate its working

findings which come from the evaluation of its environment. The primary weakness comes
from the management. The failure to resolve various issues relating to the medical staff may
paralyze its internal operations which in the end may lead to reduced quality of patient
care. As a corrective mechanism, the organization may opt to implement various ways for
managing internal conflicts between or between the members of staff and the management.
