In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?  ,[object Object]
After I need to add the legal requirements for the magazine, things like; the bar code, the date and issue of the magazine and the price, all these need to be on the front cover by law on an official magazine.
I then added the companies quote at the top and add the word ‘Exclusive’ all around the boarder of the magazine. I used ‘Exclusive’ as one of my selling points, my buzz word; as it’s the first issue was well it can be easily be identified by the magazines target audience.,[object Object]
After I added the sub stories which of cause needed to be on. I added a ‘Top Features’ bar across the top to add columns to the left hand side of the page. All of the stories, features and ‘adverts’ are mainly on the left hand side, which is mainly identified as the ‘Features’ part
I put a very simple black background  on it make the main story photo stand out more and to help the yellow text for the information part and the main story contrast and ‘glow’ from the background.
Then I add a picture of Alex Jackal’s newest album cover on the bottom right hand cover. Although the legal requirements are normally place there I wanted to make sure his album cover was noticeable.
I add the main sub story head line on the left hand side, making it fit into all the rule of thirds quarter but also bigger and a more contrasting colour so It is easily noticed.,[object Object]
In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?  Firstly I added the main picture the hit of my first magazine, I blacked it out to give a mystery to the person behind the cover. This is getting the audience to relate with the magazine and also create a strong interest. I then added my buzz word to capture the audience ‘ you won’t find this online’ also creating a strong interest so they wont want to buy the magazine. I made the title ‘the rise of Alex jackal’ very large to hit the readers as soon as they opened it, this is key to capturing my audience straight away. I still stuck with the CMR’s ‘C’ logo and type dace so my connecting to them. I added the work exclusive across the bottom of the page over and over again so my audience can see that it’s a major event/story inside, this is key to attach my target audience.
How does your media product represent particular social groups? ,[object Object]
I tried the match the wear my target audience wore. The leather jacket is a classic match for classic rock groups also and hair cut, not so much a group favourite but it’s still included within the genre.,[object Object]

  • 15. I will keep my audience through the use of mobile technology so I can keep my target audience updated and ‘in the know’ at all times. The internet is another ‘cost effective’ way I could use to inform my chosen genre at any time, any where, instantly, which is much more beneficial than a magazine.
