Why dowe needthe BBFC?
We needthe BBFCbecause otherwiseanyone canwatchthe film, otherwise the youngerpeople can

Issueswithspectre regardingthe BBFC
 There wassome gruesome eye-gougingscene inSpectre helpedmake the latest
instalmentinthe JamesBondfranchise the mostcomplainedaboutfilmof 2015
 There wasalso an offendingscene,setinavillains’conference room, showsahenchman
banginghisvictim’sheadona table before gettingtoworkonhiseyes,andhad been
toneddownbefore the film’srelease onthe advice of the BritishBoardof Film
Classification.
Changesthathad to be made
 some fightingsceneshadtobe reduceddown
 the actual filmhadto be reducedintime because itwasnearly3 hours long
Age certificate thatthe filmwasfinallygiven
 the filmwasfinallyratedthe age of 12 because the reducedof the fightingscenesreduced
the aggressivenessof the characters
Sony showedthe UNfinishedfilmto the BBFC who recommendeditto be givenan age rating of
15, then sonnydecidedto cut some of the fightingscenesfrom the filmto get it to a 12a
 Thisis importantbecause fewerpeople canwatchit andsome people mightwanttosee
fightingscenes.
 Thismighthave a negative impactonthe filmbecause the otheroneshave eitherbeen
rateda PG or a 12, meaningif itgoesto a 12a thenthere isgoingto be lesspeople watching
it because theyaren’tallowed.Insome Jamesbondfilmshave more fightingscenes.
