6.CONSTRUCTION FEATURE
YZA(ZAO)、YZE(ZEO) series petrol-chemical process pumps are
single stage, single suction, horizontal, radial-split volute casing.
Double-volute is used for the pump casing which discharge dia- meter
more than 80mm.The pump has axial horizontal suction and radial vertical
discharge. The packing gland has cooling and heating apartment.
Cooling of bearing frame has three ways: cooling fin (~120 ℃),cooling
fin and radiator fan cooling (120 ℃ ~ 250 ℃), sleeve
water cooling (>250 ℃). Foot support is used to ZA﹑ZAO. Horizontal
center support is used to ZE ﹑ZEO.Impeller and shaft location use
high-efficiency auto-locked plant.
The pump is back-open, spacer coupling construction, when
maintenance or service is needed,just open the pump cover and take out
the rotation parts for easy service without dismantle of pipeline and motor.
We can also add drainpipe and connecting flange on the bottom of
casing if customer needed. When the user maintenance of pumps, the
concentration of released liquid to ensure the site clean and safe.
According to different conditions, the impeller can be divided into two
kinds of open and closed impellers.

Pump Installation
1. Pump Installation steps
Pump installation steps generally include that put the pump on the
foundation、look for the level、adjust and connect the pump pipe and so on.
2. The equipment needed of pump installation:
2.1. The suitable and safe load capacity lifting equipment;
2.2. Each anchor bolt must be with a available steel blocks or wedge for
looking for level
2.3. . Grouting material should be non-shrink (such as epoxy mortar), in
order to grouting need to prepare a wooden box or a tin with a funnel
3. Pump removal
When moving pump should take care to prevent accidents and pay
attention to the following:
3.1. When the pump is moved, lifting equipment hook should be hanged on
the hole below the base, also you can use fork cranes, don't allow hang on
the bolt、the pump body and the bearing
3.2 Lifting the load should be evenly balanced, and pay attention to the
load capacity of lifting equipment. When lifting be careful to prevent the
pump of the collision.Specially avoid shaft machined surface of the
coupling place shaft machined surface damage.
3.3 Prohibit dirt or lime soil getting into the pump and motor or mechanical
seal in the moving process.

When pump was transported to the unit , in accordance packing list check
the pump's parts and accessories whether it is lost and whether any
damage during transport, if there is the above, report immediately to the
transport sector and pump companies to the statement. .
5. temporary stock
If you stock the pump for some time before installation,pump still need to
package and be stored the place where is appropriate dry、rainproof and
dustproof, Import and export should be covered to prevent something
getting into, and suggest that rotate rotor 90 average twice a week
6. Pump base
6.1. Pump must have sufficient strength concrete foundation and it is
enough to withstand the static load and dynamic load.
6.2.Lay the foundations include the following elements: positioning
foundation anchor bolts, grouting, and stay location of the connected
pipeline, and then fill in the remaining space and then filling in the
remaining space
6.3. Ground surface may be rough, so that grouting effect is good, install
the equipment after ground-based coagulation sand curing 7 days
7. Base grouting
7.1. Take off the motor and coupling of pump until two groutings have been
completely cured and pipings have been installed, and then adjust and join
pumps and motors.
7.2. Grouting ensure that exhause all the storage gas in every space,
anchor bolt holes use the non-adhesive material or select the mortar filling,
depending on the user's preferences, This process should be completed
before the official filling in the base.
8. Adjust unit
8.1.After grouting,adjust unit.It includes adjustments of the angle and
centerline position.Check and adjust at least three times in the following

Check the unit to adjust.
The first, pump and base have already been tight, but the motor not.
The second, pumps and motors have been tight, but the flange bolts of
inhalation or outstanding pipeline are not fasten.
The third, after pump running 24 hours, check again,then tighten pump and
motor finally .
10.Seal Maintenance
1. General situation first scan packing seal until pipings be washed clean
then install mechanical seals and formally went into operation,.If pipes are
clean, you can mounte directly mechanical seal.
2. Mechanical seal in use should pay attention to the following:
2.1 Seals should be flush with its own liquid or fluid supply foreign. It is
helpful to dispers heat and the accumulation of face. Use the cooling water
to cool the back of the stationary ring.
2.2 The amount of compression spring mechanical seals should be
monitored.It can not be too big or too small and vary according to
transmission media.The general it should be controlled within about 3 ~
4mm.
2.3 The beating of pump shaft (sleeve) can not exceed the standard
requirements (check according to the requirements of technical
drawings).The general situation,it is less than 0.05mm
2.4 Before the operation ,fill liquid when the pump should be fully deflated
and ensure the pump when the fluid fill space completely and then start. In
order to prevent only mechanical seal rotating resulting the damage
2.5 Control system operation and monitor ,prevent possible evacuation
phenomenon and the damage to the mechanical seal. 2.6 Monitor the
pump inlet pressure and the pressure of seal chamber should be higher
than the saturated vapor pressure of the medium to prevent evaporation,

drying, and flash resulting the damage to the mechanical seal.
2.7 Before starting,after filling the fluid, turn pump a few weeks later,then
begin operation
2.8 In normal operation, the face-leakage rate should not exceed 3ml / h.If
you find a serious leak, and in one day it does not reduce stop pump to
repair
11.Pump operation
1. Operation caution
1.1 The pump is only allowed to operate within the parameters specified,
short-term operation can not exceed the minimum continuous flow point
1.2 Don’t allow operat when spit valve is closed or off, because that result
pump heat and reduce pump life.If the pump is in a parallel system, each
pump must be run under a specific parameter in order to ensure the pump
performance parameters.
1.3 Pumps could not operat when intake valve is closed, or else the pump
cavitation or dry transfer took place, resulting in damage to pump parts.
1.4 Pump transmission medium can not contain gas, or else the flow and
pump head can not be accurately measured at the same time that would
damage parts ground,machine seal wore, and affect the performance
inhalation.
1.5 Check according to 1.2 before driving.
2. Check before starting
2.1 Check all bolts, pipes and wire connection is fastening or not before
starting.
2.2 Check all the instruments, valves and instruments are normalor not.
2.3 Inject 20 # machine oil or turbine oil and low-freezing hydraulic oil to the
required location, check the oil level mirror, the oil level of constant oil cup
is normal or not.

2.4 Check the motor rotation direction

3. Heating pump (when used for high temperature according to the steps)
3.1 After completing two inspections ,take the warm-pump operation that

phenomenon. Open the tracheal tube and gas-heating pump pipeline and
the gradual warm the pre-pump, according to 40 ℃ / hour, when the
temperature rises to operating temperature, at the same time recognizing
the pump has been filled with liquid , in particular, seal chamber must be
without gas, before they start.
3.2 The start pressure gauge or pressure sensor get to the center of the
control room displays for the indicators, in order to adjust the scope of work
or the pump operating point
4. Run
4.1 Note that the pump bearing temperature and oil room temperature, the
bearing metal temperature should not exceed the ambient temperature
39 ℃, but the maximum temperature should not exceed 80 ℃, the oil
room temperature should not exceed 82 ℃, and the above that is the limit
temperature.
4.2 The regular inspection of the extent of the coupling ensure the pump
rotor in the stator centerline running.
4.3 The operation of the process, if find a normal sound, electrical overload,
and immediately stop and check the reasons.
4.4 Before the pump suction valve not fully open,the pump can not be
started.
4.5 After pump starts,you can not make spit valve closed or nearly closed

a long time, otherwise it would make pump fluid overheating, even cause to
stop.
5. Start Step
5.1 Prepare by No 2 in" run" and the No3 " Check before starting " No. 3
5.2 Open the pump suction valve fully, and further confirm that the pump is
gas-free (through the ministries of the deflated confirmation).
5.3 Spit valve is closed to start, after starting motor, and then gradually
open the spit pipe valve to observe the meter to the required operating
point.
5.4 At this time start flushing pipe and cooling water pipelines and confirm
that the pipeline has been completely smooth.
5.5 Check pump operation
Pump running should according to the "run".Check and record an
instrument so as to determine the pump working correctly or not every
certain period of time (suggested time is 30 minutes) . But also to check
and record pump speed. In addition, monitor and record pump flow, head,
temperature , lubrication conditions , the mechanical seal operation , the
vibration and noise of the measuring point .Pump should be stopped in the
event of pump failure,and refer to troubleshooting table maintenance.
5.6 Stop pump
5.6.1 Turn the spit valve to the minimum flow, but never allow close pump
suction valve.
5.6.2 Close-driven devices motor or steam or other drivers
5.6.3 When the pump stops , turn off the pump suction valve
