The principle of popular sovereignty reflects the basic principle of democracy, popular sovereignty is a term of use in referring to the act where people dictate the powers of the government. Even the government assumes power, control comes from people. Which means this principle is based on the government of the people.people have decision to make. The most popular manipulations of popular sovereignty is reflected during the 1850s. During that time, the population was using this principle to determine what should happen in their land. The population succeeded in away because the popular Kansas-Nebraska Act of 1854 was created base on this principle. With this principle and in 1850s, people in their territories decided what to do. In Kansas-Nebraska, they decided what to do with slaves inform of allowing it or banning it.
