Pekka Salminen
of PES-Architects
For this project that was completed in 2018, Pekka Salminen wanted to incorporate
Chinese cultural design elements within the 150,000 square meter project area of this
ancient city, and chose to incorporate our bamboo along with other elements such as
ceramics.
Dasso’s custom-made bamboo was applied in the theatre hall as cladding, while solid
bamboo blocks were used to stylishly enhance the acoustics of performers.
This theatre has now become a prominent landmark in Fuzhou.
