2012 - IROJE architects&planners - Sentul 2D Mixed Use - Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Located in Sentul - newly developed district of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia this
30.000 m2 mixed use brings new quality to this tropical country. Opposed to
office glass towers over exposed to sun this low rise typology is more energy ef-
ficient and more user friendly. Retail space with shadowed corridors is situated
on the first three floors. Ofices spaces in chunked volumes on top, facing each
other with smalll distance protect the spaces from overheating. Connnected
by shaded bridges and divided by open public spaces Sentul D2 creates high
quality public space for the users. All wrapped in weathered corten steel panels.

“Musical Landscape - Our proposal of public space and arrangement, vol-
umes, and patterns of the building initiate from musical inspiration. Di-
versity of music make a city alive by having sound itself and also hav-
ing its space and form. Small and large spaces flow within this site, which
are the street landscape, elevations of the building, stairs, plaza, play
ground and other landscaping elements. Music plays in a special city.”

First stage of high-end artist residential complex in HuangShan mountains
in Anhui province. Located on the slope of a hill that used to be a tea farm
the new development was designed with respect to existing conditions. Most
of the retaining walls were kept and new buildings were located in harmony
on the farm terraces. Community center and 5 different villa types were in-
troduced, all inluding private galleries and workshop space as per clients re-
quest. The masterplan is connected by Spine element - pedestrian promenade
consisting of stone paved area and greenery running along the existing stream.

2012 - IROJE architects&planners - Artist Community - Huangshan, China
Located in remote North-West corner of Hainan Island, China the Eight Vil-
lage Masterplan takes its name with respect to abandoned fisherman villages
found on the site. Iroje architects&planners were invited to prepare a new
solution for the site in place of a masterplan designed by a local office consist-
ing of rectangular traffic system and high rise complex refused by government.
The new propsal blends in the existing conditions with buildings of moderate
height and form differentiation.Housing, galleries ,hotels, community centers
all conected with main Spine focuing on pedestrian experience of the area.

I was invited to join Baumschlager Eberle Hong Kong team for few
months to help with tender drawings for a shopping mall in Wuhan, Chi-
na. The project was a 2013 competition entry chosen by the develop-
er to be build. Soft forms, how popular in China with Austrian precision
of detail. Working closely with developer and his team of consultants for 6
months we were working on a full package of exterior and interior drawings.

Qingdao Blue Sillicon Valley project is supposed to be the marine equivalent of
California Silicon Valley - hub for start ups, high tech corporations providing
highest quality laboratories, offices spaces, housing for employes and all the nec-
essary services. The concept design would try to make the newly developed area
getthefeelingofvariety,charachteristicforoldEuropeancities.Inspiredbysome
of the world most popular public spaces like Central Park or Piazza San Marco
inVenice and filled with number of different typology buildings the new master-
plan creates space that would be in high contrast o to Chinese developments.

One year at BC&A as part of small 5 person team working on a big residential
development in HK, New Territories. I joined the team at the conceptual stage
and worked in the team until the tender drawings with details for construc-
tions were completed. The project consisted of 23 villas - 5 types, club house,
7 apartment towers, public areas. and all the interiors. As the team was small
we had many consultants, teams of draftsman and other offices where we could
outsource some of the drawings. I was responsible for many of the design
parts based on the sketches of the office principal with developing the details.
2015/2016 - Kau To Shan Development - BC&A - Hong Kong
We were working closely with the developer, interior designers, land-
scape designers M&E consultants, cladding and curtain wall consul-
tants , quantity surveyors and structure engineers. The design was based
on GBP drawings provided by clients architectural team. Even though
it’s not a spectacular project, it gave me good insight in Hong Kong
style, standards, clients expectations and limitations BD regulations.

2015 - Linen Hotel - Private Investor - Central, Hong Kong
With 2 rooms fitted in 4,5m wide facade, only a special concept can convince
client to consider such a tight space as an attraction. Providing a popular now,
minimalistic concept mixed with Korean/Japanese traditional motives could
create such an opportunity. Clean, bright white interiors with natural linen /
cotton fabric finishes, simple furniture made of natural wood, wooden floors,
light space could create a neat, fresh cosy space. In humid, grey Hong Kong,
estetical, bright rooms, with soft light and Asian detail touch could become
a brand for the hotel, where you can always expect highest comfort standard.
2015 - Linen Hotel - Private Investor - Central, Hong Kong
The facade of the building would be covered in double layered glass with
linen fabric or similar material in between and glass partitions referring to
traditional Asian window detail. The fabric layer will also protect the inte-
rior from overheating, saving energy on aircondition. Almost solid looking,
soft white volume from outside and semi transparent, bright view from in-
side, this solution would provide privacy without taking away the day-
light, so demanded in HK.It will create in Hong Kong cityscape, a simple
recognizable symbol associated with simple quality of it’s neat interiors.
2010-2014 - Own conceptual design for China Constuction International - China
Working for a huge Chinese company just after arriving to Beijing gave me
good insight in situation on Chinese construction market. Many business
trips around the country, site visits, meetings with clients. As a fresh grad-
uate I got a chance to design skyscrappers and buildings with total area in
single project bigger than some European offices would complete in years. It
also left me after a year with many doubts about what makes good architec-
ture. Those aboive are my concepts of office towers, schools, mixed use and
residential buildings where I got full freedom to propose new concepts.
2010-2015 - Private Investor - Monochrome Music Recording Studio - Gniewoszow, Poland
It took 5 years from the first meeting with young investors until completion of
Monochrome Music Recording Studio. What seemed just an unrealistic vision
of two fresh graduate accoustic ingeeners is becoming now one of most popular
recording venues in Poland and this part of Europe. The site located on the top of
the mountain in remote mountain village was a challenge to get a planning per-
mission.That,togetherwithlimitedbudgetresultedinsimpleformofanoldblack
barn, cladded with wooden planks, that wouldn’t disturb the surrounding much.
The form was a result of spatial arrangements and of focus on spectacular view.
2010 - 2015 - Private Investor - Monochrome Music Recording Studio - Gniewoszow, Poland
The big square windows in the studio level were later replaced with irregular
rythm that serves its accoustic function. The area of 500 sq. m was divided into
recording space on the main floor, sleeping quarters in the lower floor and small
owners studio flat on the upper floor. The author of the studio layout and solu-
tions is famous Japanese accoustic designer Sam Toyoshima author of world
most famous studios like Abbey Road or Metropolis.Gniewoszow village the

ative young people looking for escape from busy city life.photo by B.Warzecha
Located in place of abandoned settlement on top of the hill in North-
ern Czech Republic, the most atheistic country in Europe, but at the same
time country experiencing the highest interest in catholic religion this mon-
astery was designed stricty following the rules of the Carthusian Order.
With the 30 ha area of fields the monastery would give home to 24 monks
and 20 secular brothers and would be totaly self sufficient and independent.
To gain deep understanding of the subject the design was proceeded by
3 days stay in Novy Dvor monastery designed by minimalist John Pawson.
2010 - Carthusian Monastery - Diploma Project - Czech Republic
The settlement is planed on two square terraces, each of 48m long side. The
upper one is reserved for the monks only. It consisted of viridarium sur-
rounded by gallery, twelve erems, chapel and centrally located church.
The lower part is the entrance area with the high house, library, guest
rooms, administration part and public chapel. Dressed in simple vernacu-
lar form the monastery is finished in dark wood and shingle following lo-
cal traditions, tied with strong stone wall that gives is the feeling of in-
accessibility as the order doesn’t participate in life of the outside world.
