Reason For Revelation for ayah no 3.
Al-wahidi recorded in Asbab Al-Nuzul that Adiyy Ibn Rabiah went to
the Prophet(s.a.w) and said!
“Tell me about the day of arising, when is it going to be?
How is it going to be?”
The prophet (s.a.w) gave him peace and answered his question then
Adiyy said:
“If I were to see the day with my own eyes, I would not accept what
you say, O-Mohammad, as true nor would I believe in you.
Can Allah really assemble these bones? And so Allah (s.a.w) revealed
this ayah.”

❑Allah Swearing oath to refute the deniers of the day of Judgement,
who doubt about the possibility of the occurrence of the day of
Judgement and the resurrection of the human bodies on that day.
❑The Object of the oath is to affirm and emphasize the importance of
the subject(i.e. the resurrection of the bodies will take place on the
day of judgement.

❑The word “ ‫”لوم‬ Lawm, Signifies reprimand,
❑The object of the oath is to emphasize the importance of self
reproaching Soul.
❑This soul is found innately in every human beings.
❑It is an innate (inborn, natural) guidance of discerning Good and bad
endowed by the almighty.
❑The role of the soul is to Protect man to submit to its desire.

Criticizing for Committing Sins
❑If a person commits error the reproaching soul, check
him(reprimands) him to realize his mistake.
Criticizing for performing Good
❑If a person performs good deed , this soul criticizes and blames for
doing good because he feels that he has not performed his duties of
servitude and there is still shortcoming in order to reach for a higher
goal in life.
He upbraids ( scolds ) himself for not reaching the higher goal.

❑The practice of Allah(s.w.t) is that those who are inclined and willing

to wander around, because they show indifference to the
reminders, warnings and invitation of truth.

Surah Yousuf.

❑It is overcome by its desire and loses its balance.

❑The Soul is inclined to follow Allah(s.w.t) commands and prohibition
to attain the divine nearness and pleasure.
❑It has natural abhorrence of disobeying and displeasing Allah(s.w.t).
❑This is the most desirable soul in the sight of Allah and it can be
achieved through remembering Allah(s.w.t) and the day of
Judgement.

❑The disbelievers of Makkah were of the view that after dying and
being decayed in the dust the almighty will not be able to assemble
their bones.
❑This looks impossible to the disbelievers and on its basis they deny
the day of judgement.
❑The disbelievers are told that you don’t recognize the power of Allah
(s.w.t), He is not only capable to gather your bones but able to
reconstruct your delicate finger tip.

want to persist on following their whims and fancies,
And ask Prophet(saw) when the day of judgement will happen.
No reply is given by the Quran about the time of its occurrence,
instead some horrific details of the day are portrayed.

The Horror Of The

❑This is in response to the deniers question who mockingly ask when
the day of judgement happen.
❑No response is given by the Quran to the disbelievers about the
time of occurrence of the day of judgement.
❑Allah(s.w.t) Portrays the few scenes of the day of judgement to
warn the disbelievers that the upheaval that will ensue on that day
will force you to seek refuge from these horror.

The Sun

This is the chaotic condition of the system of universe that will prevail
in the first stage of resurrection.
1)The darkening of the moon.
2)The joining of the moon and sun together it means that they will be
rolled up and the entire universe will plunge into darkness.

mankind of the consequences of his deeds and actions done in the
worldly life.

justice.
❑The demand of justice is not fulfilled unless the proof of crime is

Receiving Quran Revelations

Background
These four verses apparently seem entirely unconnected with the
context.
therefore We need to understand the background of revealing the
above verses to have a clearer picture.
Abdullah Bin Abbas
said that when the Quran was revealed to the prophet(s.a.w), he
would start repeating the words of the revelation rapidly as the angel
Jibril(a.s) recited them, fearing lest he should forget part of it later.

❑ Now the Focus Shift from a big calamity(i.e. the day of Judgement
[ ‫القيامة‬
‫الكبرى‬ ] to a small calamity,the death (i.e. [ ‫القيامة‬

❑ The verses depict the pangs of death and state of helplessness of a
dying person, which is witnessed and believed with a firm
conviction by every human being.
❑ It is an argument being presented to the disbelievers that the day
of judgement is also a reality and certainty as you believe in the

❑ Man is invited to ponder and reflect on his first creation to
recognize Allah(s.w.t) immense power.
❑ His creation begins with a drop of despised fluid being
poured forth in the mother’s womb.
❑ The drop of fluid become a clot of blood.
❑ Then it is brought into shape and later perfected.
❑ Finally it emerges in the form of a man or a women.
❑ It is the providence which fashions and moulds it, no one
else has any role in it.
❑ The verses present argument that it is the same God, who
created you for the first time , will recreate you after you
die.

Do you Really satisfied that a man who sowed.
a) Corruption
b) Inequity
c) in Justice
In the world, which entails evil consequences for
mankind for centuries after, should never be
punished for his misdeeds.
1) Killing thousands of innocents people.
2) Plundering country exchequers and looting
natural resources and wealth.
3) Promoting nudity, lewdness and vulgarity in
the word.
4) Killing those honest and innocents people who
are fighting for truth and justice.
d) Utilizing money and exercising power to debar
people from the path of Allah.
e) Spreading lies through media to distort the
fact.
Man(Good)
Do you think that a man who strived throughout
his life for the cause
a) Truth
b) Justice
c) Peace
d) Goodness
And suffered for the sake had no right to be
rewarded for his good work.
Rational Behind Holding
The Day Of Judgement

Day of Judgement:
We should Understand the truthfulness and reality of the day of
judgement and prepare for its accountability.
Quran:
We should learn to recite the Quran with tajweed and ponder and
reflects on its meaning and spread its message to the mankind.
Death:
We should remember death and its pain and anguish and strive to die
in the state of being Muslim.
Souls:
We Should protect our self from the souls that tempts to commit evil
and discipline it to attain the status of Blessed soul.

Love of World:
We should comprehended the purpose of our creation and remove
the extreme love of this worldly life from our heart.
Value Of God:
We should give due respect to Allah’s power, knowledge, wisdom,
