Ways to prevent covid

1. AYURVEDA WAY FOR PREVENTION OF
COVID 19
• In the wake of the Covid 19 outbreak, entire mankind

• While there is no medicine for COVID-19 as of now, it will
be good to take preventive measures which boost our
immunity in these times.

3. Rasayana

• Ashwagandha can be used in multiple forms. It has

• It can be used in Churana form and added to soups,
tea or simply in warm water

7. MEDICATED GRUELS FOR BREAKFAST
• Wheat, rice or ragi porridge can be prepared by
adding turmeric powder, jeeraka, fenugreek, dry
ginger and coriander
• This enhances the digestive system
• Replace rice with wheat and ragi for diabetic
patients for preparation of gruels
(as they have low glycemic index)

8. MEDICATED SOUP FOR LUNCH
• Soups provide nutrition and immunity
• Recipe-
1. Take One glass of green tea. Cook it very well
in a cooker.
2. Fry it in ghee with onion,garlic,dry ginger
3. Giloy and ashwagandha powder can be added

9. During dry cough / sore throat
1. Steam inhalation with fresh Pudina (Mint) leaves
or Ajwain (Caraway seeds) can be practiced once in
a day.
2. Lavang (Clove) powder mixed with natural sugar /
honey can be taken 2-3 times a day in case of cough
or throat irritation.
3. These measures generally treat normal dry cough
and sore throat. However, it is best to consult
doctors if these symptoms persist.

10. Tea Time Recipe
• Don’t take junk food with tea as it is considered
as Viruddha ahar
• Coffee can be prepared by adding ajwain leaves,
tulsi leaves, dry ginger and coriander
• Use jaggery instead of sugar for Coffee or tea
Benefits-
• It ensures good pulmonary health
• It doesn’t allow sputum to get deposited

11. Gargling
• Practice gargling if you are prone for cold,
cough or asthma
• Boil Tulsi leaves in water and add honey and
do gargles two times a day
(Tulsi has antiviral and anti bacterial properties
and honey gives soothinga and anti-
inflammatory effect )

12. Dhoopanam (fumigation)
• Benefits- Reduces the density of virus and even protects
from Dengue and Chikungunya
1. Aparajita churnam- Take 10-15 gm powder, burn it and
let the fumes circulate in the house and surroundings
2. Guggul powder fumes can be used
3. Leaves of neem, outer cover of garlic and tulsi leaves can
be used alternatively as they are easily available

13. Use of common courtyard plants
1.Tulasi-
a) Tulasi swarasa with honey can be taken orally
for cough and sore throat
b) Tulasi swarasa can be used as nasal drops for
cold and sinusitis
2. Adusa(Adhatoda vesica)
a) Juice of adusa leaves(5ml) added with one
teaspoon of honey to be taken for 14-21 days
before food is an excellent Lung tonic

14. YOGA
• Pranayama- It controls stress and empowers
respiratory system
