Poetry Day

Come and celebrate ‘World Poetry Day’ with Sue Johnson a local
published poet. Take inspiration from the park and learn
how to write a short poem using the style of Korean Sijo.
This is a creative writing workshop for adults and work created
may be audio recorded and promoted in the park and on
facebook / the City Council website.
Sue is a writer, artist and musician, her first novel ‘Fable’s
Fortune’ was published by Indigo Dreams Publishing in 2011.
The spring breeze melted snow on the hills then quickly disappeared
I wish I could borrow it briefly to blow over my hair
And melt away the aging frost forming now about my ears
