As my product is priced at £3.00 the social economic category that my product is aimed
at is either B or C1. This is because the buyers must nave money available to spend on
something that is not essential. To aim to this social class I have given the magazine a much
sophisticated and expensive look. However I have still aimed my magazine at a younger
audience by the use of bright colours that attract the readers attention. Although from my
research I found that most of the people who bought magazines were female I still aimed my
magazine at both male and female readers. I did this by using unisex colours that wouldn’t put
a certain sex of reading the magazine, for example red and blue.

have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?

In my ancillary product I didn’t know much

about creating a magazine. In my ancillary task What I have improved on:
I did not use the Guttenberg principle very well. • Photography as I have used the rule of thirds
This is because the ‘150 new ways to revise!’
should be in the terminal area where the • Content
Readers eyes are drawn to. By doing this it • Layout as I have used the Guttenberg principle
would make the article stand out more. The use What I would change:
of colour on this front cover is not very good as
the white gets lost in the background of the
