Implementation of a New Policy
to Improve Student’s Life on Campus
Zheng Li, Hill, Ann Marie, Director
Bloustein School Internship Program
• Staying up late is the main
cause of students’ poor
academic performances
• Consequences: fail to finish
homework on time; forget
and miss the midterm exam
• Staying up late becomes a
habit for most of the students
• Conclusion: a new policy
should be implemented to
help students form a
healthier sleeping habit to
better manage their college
life
• 1st : conduct an online survey
to collect students’ opinions
and suggestions on the new
policy
• 2nd: figure out how to
implement the policy based
on the results of the survey
• 3rd: implement the new
policy for 2 weeks
• 4th: conduct another online
survey to evaluate the
effectiveness of the policy
• 5th: revise the policy based
on the results of the survey
• Students will be forced to
quit the unhealthy habits of
staying up late
• The policy is the initial
motivation for students to
change their unhealthy
lifestyle
• Students will better
manage their study and life
• Conduct subsequent surveys
to evaluate the effectiveness
of the policy
• Use faculty observations to
see whether students are
handing in assignments on
time and showing up for
exams.
