This document discusses the history of development plans for Yung Shue Wan Harbour on Lamma Island in Hong Kong. In 1995 and 2003, residents opposed government proposals for foreshore reclamation that would have covered the area in concrete. While officials agreed to consider alternative plans in 2003, no improvements have been made. The reclamation plan was revived in 2007 without public consultation. The group Living Lamma now calls for any new plans to involve community input, sustainability principles, and environmental enhancement rather than more concrete development. They propose a design competition to revitalize the harbor in a way that preserves its natural assets.
