4. Your Next Chapter
• Split into an initial 3 days and then about 10 weeks
later, a further 2 days, our flagship programme acts
as a personal MOT, service and valet. Part 1 focuses
on you at your best; your strengths looked at from
your own perspective and others’, what contributes
to peak performance and reconnecting with your
purpose. We also look at what holds you back,
stories you have told yourself about when things
have gone wrong and enabling you to retell those
stories.
• After 10 weeks for further thinking and planning
with support from us, part 2 helps you write an
action plan to help you live the next chapter for
yourself and the business .

and direction using the concept of Ikigai,
the Japanese secret to a long and happy
life, finding significance and meaning.

9. Who we are…
Next Chapter Retreats was founded by
partners Peter Hyson and Hilary Rowland
following accomplished careers. They each
bring more than 30 years experience in
business advice and professional speaking,
coaching and HR, having worked with senior
executives across numerous companies
including the BBC, PWC, Academy for Chief
Executives, Serco, dotDigital, GFT, ChadSan,
and CS2, not to mention sports and
charities. They’re passionate about helping
individuals find their sense of purpose and
then live it.
They have had considerable success with
their unique retreats over many years
working with senior executives in groups,
witnessing how effective the power of
people working together can be on their
personal development. This approach
allows the creation of an environment for
true reflection and exploration by taking
participants ‘off-grid’, free from the
distractions of their professional and
personal lives, and with the time to work at
