This document outlines strategies to support youth thriving through strong relationships, civic engagement, and access to community resources. It discusses building family and caregiver capacity, increasing youth access to caring adults, providing safe social spaces, engaging youth in their communities, and making community supports easier for youth to navigate. The overall goal is to achieve priority outcomes of supportive relationships, civic engagement, and youth-friendly coordinated services.
Parent engagement is a shared effort. It is rooted in the slow and patient work of relationship-building. What experiences and know-how do parents bring to the table? How are parents engaged in their children’s lives right now? How can agencies change its system and beliefs about parent ?

She will also talk us through some of the major issues affecting people with learning disabilities from black and minority ethnic communities in Scotland. She will also share her thoughts on how best to support and make connections with families from black and minority ethnic communities.
